On Thursday, April 2nd, Anna Taylor, a not-quite-two-year-old girl of Beaver Dam, Kentucky passed away from Krabbe Leukodystrophy. Sadly, we regularly lose children in our leukodystrophy community, but the Taylor family is one of a few families Judson’s Legacy has targeted to proactively love and serve through their journey. So, 16 hours later, Drake and Christina were on a plane to Kentucky to be present at Anna’s memorial service on the Saturday before Easter.
Anna’s parents Sarai and Nathan expressed several times how much they valued Drake and Christina’s presence and the sharing of tears. It is apparent that Judson’s Legacy needs to not only be a voice of hope in suffering, but also a presence for these precious families who are just beginning their journey of loss.
Sarai and Nathan, my deepest condolences for the loss of your precious daughter Anna. I pray that God gives you comfort in this time and that his loving arms will hold you both and carry you through this process. Hold on to Him, He will give you the strength to continue on this journey of life. Be comforted that your daughter is whole in the loving arms of our father.
