“She’s a berry bitty girl with berry big possibilities. She’s got style—extraordinary. She’s so sweet and she’s caring.
Laugh and sing, let’s be merry. Life is like a bowl of berries.”
When Jessie visits her Grammy and Papa they have a Strawberry Shortcake book that quickly became her preferred reading material. She was consequently given a Strawberry Shortcake doll that included a short DVD, and soon the Berry Princess topped her list of favorites.
When we began discussing Jessie’s birthday a few months ago and asking how she might want to celebrate, she had a forthright request for a Strawberry Shortcake party. We were happy to oblige…

It proved to be a berry, berry wonderful time with family and friends. After the party, Jessie surmised, “Now you’re going to start calling me Strawberry Shortcake.”
Indeed, I have.
What a beautiful heart Jessie has . My girlies send their balloons up when they are missing mom mom and Papa. My parents recently passed and my four year old and two and a half year kiss their balloons to send kisses to them. I love this idea of communicating this way as well.
