Jud’s Buds Walk for a Cure

Dear family and friends,

We were so blessed to have over 25 people join us for the “Walk for a Cure” with the Stennis Foundation.  We all proudly sported our yellow “I’m a Bud of Jud the Stud” shirts as we walked around the beautiful lake at Laguna Niguel Regional Park. Then many of us enjoyed brunch together at the local Original House of Pancakes (thanks Gary & Carla!).

It was emotional at moments and surreal to be part of an event where our son was an honoree because he lost his life to a dreadful disease, but mostly the walk was a sweet symbol of the way so many have walked alongside us throughout this journey.

A special thanks to all who joined us today, to those who pledged financial support for this event, to those who purchased “Jud Bud” shirts, and to all the others who have loved us in such numerous ways.  We are SO grateful!

I am enclosing a picture here, but if you would like to see more pictures from the event, you can check out Judson’s Facebook page and even become one of his “fans”.

Much love and thankfulness,
Christina (on behalf of Drake too)

Yay! Glad the "Walk For A Cure" was everything and more, than you had expected! What an awesome testimony to have all your closest friends/family there walking with you. We praise our good Lord for his faithfulness and protection upon all of you walkers! And please know, we were "walking" here in Arizona with you….in spirit! Thanks for letting us share in this tremendous outreach and fundraiser with you, even from afar!Hugs for you all, Allyson (and family)

It was such a blessing and so inspiring to meet your family. I am the one who took this picture for you and i feel very fortunate to have met your family. Even though my son was diagnosed at 25 with ALD, he is still my baby and reading your journel and what you went through day to day has really inspired me. As a christian i have really been questioning my faith and struggling but after reading your story I am inspired to go on and continue to fight for a cure while beleiving in god to do the healing. Thank you again and I look forward to reading more about your strength every day. God Bless your family!
