I’ve quickly discovered in Colorado that the weather can shift on a dime. We went hiking on a gorgeous, sunny morning and as we sat by a lake eating our picnic lunch, the shadow of a cloud rapidly covered us, dumping buckets of rain and chasing us from our serene spot to find cover.
We also had an afternoon out riding ATVs when a spark of lightening abruptly struck in the direction we were headed, causing us to turn around while the thunder rumbled around us.
On another calm day, we sat reading on the veranda of the cabin when we were suddenly chased inside as hail pelted us from the sky.
Life can be like Colorado weather, changing and shifting in a moment.
This is a picture of the hail that suddenly pelted on us on what was a sunny afternoon.
