Krabbe Disease Motion Graphic

We are excited to launch our new What is Krabbe Disease? motion graphic:

We created this piece to be an effective tool for educating and raising awareness, while serving the broader Krabbe community. Communication is a primary focus for Judson’s Legacy, and in addition to our efforts to convey faith and hope through suffering, we are committed to being a voice for Krabbe kids. We hope this project is helpful in advocating for children and in the Krabbe community.

Please share.

Pacific Coast Church

Christina closed out the 2014-2015 MOPS season speaking at Pacific Coast Church in San Clemente; she discussed the year’s theme of Be You, Bravely! by specifically addressing the question How do you live bravely in your most broken places?

She always delights in being invited to speak with mothers of preschoolers and looks forward to adapting her message for next year’s MOPS theme: A Fierce Flourishing.

Lauren Loughheed’s Memorial

IMG_9459

On Monday, April 13th, we received the devastating news that Lauren Olivia Loughheed passed away. Lauren was a beautiful four-year-old girl of Montreal, Canada who was affected by Krabbe Leukodystrophy. The Loughheed family is dear to us; Drake and Christina even had the privilege of vacationing with them and a couple other families last October (2014).

Judson’s Legacy is committed to being a presence for families affected by leukodystrophy diseases, so they flew to spend the weekend with Lauren’s parents Amanda and Stephen and join in the celebration of her life.

Take a moment to let Lauren touch your life:

Anna Taylor’s Memorial

Krabbe Family

On Thursday, April 2nd, Anna Taylor, a not-quite-two-year-old girl of Beaver Dam, Kentucky passed away from Krabbe Leukodystrophy. Sadly, we regularly lose children in our leukodystrophy community, but the Taylor family is one of a few families Judson’s Legacy has targeted to proactively love and serve through their journey. So, 16 hours later, Drake and Christina were on a plane to Kentucky to be present at Anna’s memorial service on the Saturday before Easter.

Anna’s parents Sarai and Nathan expressed several times how much they valued Drake and Christina’s presence and the sharing of tears. It is apparent that Judson’s Legacy needs to not only be a voice of hope in suffering, but also a presence for these precious families who are just beginning their journey of loss.
