Judson's Legacy

I found myself on my knees this afternoon, calling out, “I need help, Lord.  I need help,” over and over again as my eyes swelled with tears.  The heaviness of life suddenly felt like it was going to crush me, leaving me struggling to find my next breath.

“Please help me, Lord!”  I exclaimed in the solitude of my bedroom.

On the floor in a heap, I noticed my phone on my nightstand and suddenly felt inclined to read Charles Spurgeon’s Morning by Morning (an application on my android):

July 17…

“Help, Lord.”—Psalm 12:1.

David mourned…and therefore lifted up his heart in supplication.
He evidently felt his own weakness, or he would not have cried for help…
The Psalmist runs straight-forward to his God, with a well-considered prayer;
he knows what he is seeking, and where to seek it…

“Help, Lord,” will suit us living and dying, suffering or laboring, rejoicing or sorrowing.

In Him our help is found…

The answer to the prayer is certain if it be sincerely offered through Jesus…
His sure promise stands, “Fear not, I WILL HELP THEE.”

“I need help, Lord.  I need help!”

  1. Oh Christina…love your heart. So many times I have cried out the same thing.I so wish I could reach across the internet and just hug you….we wouldn’t have to say one word….just hug. Just rest in the Lord…HE’s always right there with you….just a whisper away. Love, hugs, and prayers~Jean and Gary

  2. Dorci says:

I don’t know why, but it still amazes me how God forges a path into our future and answers our prayers before they’re even a breath on our lips.

    God bless you, Christina.

  3. Michal says:

I’m there, too. Help! Help me! To Whom shall I go? "There is only one Spirit of God, just as you were given one hope when you were chosen to be God’s people. We have only one Lord, one faith, and one baptism. There is one God who is the Father of all people." Ephesians 4:4-6

There is a lot of shaking and quaking in my life but He says He will help so I will watch and pray and cry out with you!

"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. Selah" Psalm 46:1-3
