Judson's Legacy

Unfathomable

Photobucket

Dear blog readers,

A few weeks ago in my blog Slice of Life, I mentioned an unamed woman, Veronica Wallace, who had lost her first son to an unknown leukodystrophy and was suddenly fearing for the life of her second son, Gabe.

Gabe died yesterday.

I may know the unimaginable pain of losing a son, but losing TWO precious boys and being left with empty arms here on earth is absolutely unfathomable to me.

As I ache with Veronica, filled with sorrow and questions over her losses, I have also thought greatly about the transforming power of God’s grace that was poured out to us through the love of his people, and I long for her to be showered with that same grace and love.  If you feel so inclined, please consider reaching out to this family.

Contact information for the Wallaces is available on Gabe’s CaringBridge site which includes their mailing address (journal post from 3/11/2010, 7:57 am) and email information.

On an additional note, Drake and I have been in the process of formalizing a Judson’s Legacy Care Team.  We are regularly made aware of families that have a child dealing with a life-threatening condition or have just lost a child and we are confident many of those who have engaged Judson’s story would love to care similarly for others.  If you might be interested in reaching out to other families through prayer, words of compassion, gifts, and other support, please consider being on a team of people we will notify when we become aware of a family in crisis related to a child.  In the near future, we will post more information in a Levasheff Update about the Judson’s Legacy Care Team, so please consider whether this is a ministry you might want to engage.

Thank you!

Thank you, Christina, for giving me the opportunity to extend my heartfelt sympathy to these dear parents. I pray that they will:

Hold on to hope: Jesus loves me this I know. For the Bible tells me so.

"I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God?s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow–not even the powers of hell can separate us from God?s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below–indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord."

    Christina,

Absolutely count us in to be part of Jud’s care team. You have my e-mail and PJ’s is listed on Lukeman’s CB page. Also, our hearts go out to Gabe’s family. Going over to his page right now.

    Love,
    Denise
